Why We Are Here

One of our kids in Open Gate came to The Center after being taken away from a drug-abusing mother and then placed in a foster home that didn’t work. Early on, she created a lot of problems for the staff including threats to harm herself resulting in several trips to the hospital. Over the past few months, her mood has lightened, her threats have ceased, and she’s making a lot of progress at school which she proudly shares with everyone.
